Mind / Body Techniques

My experience has revealed to me that many of us tend to avoid the emotional body; the unpleasant emotions.  And don't realize that the emotions are simply energy filled with valuable messages we need to know in order to grow, expand and move forward in our life. Many are totally unaware of negative thought patterns and/or unhealthy behavioral patterns. Many are totally disconnected to the physical body. Mind/Body techniques support connection of the physical body with the emotional, spiritual and mental (conscious and unconscious) bodies. The techniques are supportive to those who find it challenging to articulate emotions in words or/and have difficulty connecting to the energies in their body. These techniques offer another vehicle to exploration, expression, expansion and developement of the self.    

Hypnotherapy is similar to guided imagery. I lead you into a trance state, a state wherein you are in total control and open to suggestions.  This technique leads to change of the internal experience and creates new associations in the brain (new neural pathways). It promotes integration between the rational brain and the emotional brain, The breath slows down which in turn slows down the central nervous system, leading to a relaxed and focused state. In this state we can work on pain management, anxiety, phobias, inner child work, addictions, trauma and many other issues. I find this to be a very gentle way to work through these various issues.
